Masters and Training Programmes in Belgium 2019

ARES Higher education institution of the Wallonia-Brussels Federation is offering a one-year specialized masters degree program and a 4-6 months training course to citizens from selected developing countries.

Scholars who are already holders of a masters degree or those who have professional experience and want to further develop their skills, are welcome to apply

For Masters Program

  • International travel costs -maximum of one round-trip ticket per academic year.
  • Living allowance- 1150 €/month for a duration of 12 months.
  • Indirect mission fees- 150 €.
  • Arrival allowance, tuition and return fees- 700 €.
  • Registration fees

  • Travel costs that are part of inter-university training

For TrainingCourse

  • International travel costs- Economy-class travel on an IATA-approved airline, one round-trip ticket.
  • Living allowance- 83 €/dayfor stays lasting 8 to 17 days. 1400 €/month for stays lasting 18 days to 1 month (set amount). 1400 €/month for stays lasting 1 to 6 months,.
  • Indirect mission fees- 150 €

  • Travel costs that are part of inter-university training

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible to apply for The Specialized Masters and training programmes, prospective applicants must meet the following

  • Only citizens of developing countries who reside and work in their countries can apply.
  • Applicants must have a good knowledge of written and spoken French;
  • Only citizens of the following countries are can to postulate with our scholarships : Cameroon, Cuba, Ecuador, Ethiopia (only for training courses in English),Haiti, Madagascar, Morocco, Niger, Peru, the Philippines, the DR Congo, Rwanda, Senegal, Benin, Bolivia, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cambodia,and Vietnam;
  • Candidates must be holders of a degree that is comparable to a Belgian University graduate degree (“license”).
  • Applicants for Masters course must be less than 40 years as at the time they are starting the programme, while for training programmes must be less than45 years
  • As an applicant, you must show professional experience of at least 2 years of post-study work experience. However those who studied in industrial countries must show 3 years professional experience
  • Applicants can only apply for one programme

  • Your application forms should be downloaded, filled and sent to ARES (rue Royale 180, 1000 Brussels, Belgium) by Post OR Express Delivery Services Only. It must be received by 8 February 2019. Please do not expect any acknowledgment of receipt of application.
