Commonwealth Shared Scholarships UK for developing countries 2019

The Cranfield University in conjunction with the Commonwealth scholarships has announced the offer of Commonwealth shared scholarships. Therefore citizens of selected developing countries who wish to study in the UK but have no funding for Masters degree studies can apply for these awards.  The award is fully funded, it covers tuition, living and traveling costs.

 The Scholarship Value

The Scholarship shall cover the following;

  • Tuition and examination fees as approved
  • Stipend for living allowance shall be  at the rate of £1,084 per month
  • Airfare from your home country to the UK and another one at the end of your studies to return back to your country. Note, no reimbursements will be made for dependants return at the end of your award
  • Study travel grant for study-related travel within the UK or overseas
  • Thesis grant towards the cost of preparing a thesis or dissertation, where applicable
  • Warm clothing allowance, where applicable

Eligibility Criteria for the Commonwealth Shared Scholarships

To be eligible to apply for the Scholarships, prospective applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • You must be a Commonwealth citizen, refugee, or British protected person
  • You must be available to start your academic studies in the UK by September/October academic calendar
  • You must be permanently resident in a developing Commonwealth country
  • You should be a holder of  a first degree of at least upper second class (2:1) honours standard by August
  • Not have studied or worked for one (academic) year or more in a developed country
  • You must prove you are unable to pay to study in the UK

 How to Submit an Application

To submit an application successfully, you must follow the following

  • Check the list of eligible courses to ensure your course is covered by the scholarship
  • Submit a scholarship application using the link provided by the school.
  • Note that This form should be submitted beforeyou make an application for admission to your Cranfield course.
  • If your scholarship application is successful for next stage, you will then be instructed to submit an application for admission to Cranfield University and an application on the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission’s online application system
